When you arrive at our location, you will be able to start to relax and can either look around our store while you wait for your time in the cave or sit in our relaxing room where you remove your shoes and leave any electronic devices outside the cave. Upon entering the cave, you will walk onto our sand-like floor and immediately your feet will be immersed with Himalayan salt. It feels like a reflexology session to your feet when walking on it. You will then chose one of our zero gravity chairs which allow you to recline while propping your legs at a comfortable angle. We will provide a blanket to keep you comfortable. You need to wear white socks otherwise booties will be provided to cover your colored socks.
Once the session starts, a calming, peaceful soundtrack will come on and you will feel like you are settling in for a peaceful nap. We suggest that you use this time to relax and zen out while breathing in the goodness of the environment. Talking is not allowed in the cave unless you and your friends are the only one's in there. After the 45 minutes is up, we will open the door and quietly inform you that the session is over, and that you a have a few minutes to exit the cave.
The wellness aspect of the salt cave is you breathe in minerals (like calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium, iodine, bromie, copper, selenium and iron) contained in the salt by both your skin and your air passageways. This will help you clear pollens, viruses, toxins and other pollutants from the body. The negatively charged ionized salt and trace minerals that are present in the cave's atmosphere are said to naturally draw toxins and impurities out of the body, reduce inflammation, and improve respiratory ailments like asthma and COPD.
The skin is also meant to be purified, as it directly absorbs the vapors. Salt sessions are also known to relieve stress, high blood pressure, respiratory infections, hangovers, various skin conditions and allergies. Many people use the cave for headache issues as well. Salt is a natural anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antimicrobial, which is why the benefits of the cave are not a huge shock to those informed of the healing power of salt.
